Barbara Ann Gearhart was born May 15, 1943, to Norvel and Mary Seele in St. Louis, MO, the oldest of eight children. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 24, 2023.
Barbara lived in Phoenix, AZ where she met and fell in love with Theodore Gearhart. They were married in 1965. They are survived by five children and eight grandchildren. Barbara worked for 30 years for the Cloverdale Unified School District with elementary and middle school children.
Barbara loved her family and friends. She enjoyed working in the vineyard, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed for her caring nature, intellectual conversations and sense of humor. A viewing will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Fred Young Funeral Home at 420 N. Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale, CA. The funeral services will be celebrated on August 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peters Catholic Church at 491 S. Franklin St., Cloverdale, CA followed by a reception in the church hall.

Barbara worked at Washington School as an aide when I was the Assistant Principal. She was sweet and nurturing to the students, but also expected them to adhere to the rules. Barbara was a wonderful person and looked for the good in everyone. We will miss her!!
