Barbara Then Obituary

THEN, Barbara E. - Our loving mama entered into the Lord's hands on May 13, 2008 in Santa Rosa, CA. She was a beautiful and vibrant 82 year old. Beloved wife of the late Louis D. Then. Barbara and Louis are in Hawaii 24/7 now. Previously beloved wife of the late Don P. Cory. First love and husband, the late Thomas Richard Kniffin, Sr. was the father of Thomas Richard Kniffin Jr, Harry Kniffin and Marylou Beltrami. She has seven cherished grandsons, Timothy Kniffin, John Kniffin, Jim Kniffin, David Kniffin, Brian Kniffin, Scott Kniffin and Christopher Beltrami and special Auntie Barbara to loving nieces and nephews. Barbara was a 60 year resident of Santa Rosa and native of San Francisco. She had a full life of a loving family and always wanted the best of happiness and love for everyone she knew. In her earlier family life, Barbara and Tom Kniffin Sr had a nursery business together, WAGON WHEEL NURSERY in Santa Rosa. Barbara elegantly supplied the flowers for the Emporium (Coddingtown) for their fashion shows. She was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Redwood Empire Region. Barbara was an extremely loving woman, hardworking (to the end), energetic, spirited, fun, a survivor of good times and challenging times. Barbara is met with loving arms by her loving mama, daddy and family and all of her friends who have passed on before her on this beautiful journey. This lovely woman will be missed by many and she will be in our hearts forever. Aloha Always. Friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Our family will miss you Auntie Barbara. The last couple of years have ment so much to us. We remember you were are Matron of Honor at our wedding almost 49 years ago, the family outings to the
River, and especially last years family
picnic/reunion. You had more energy
than most of us.

We will miss you. Bless you Auntie Barbara. LOVE YOU

We thank Barbara for many years of wonderful family memories but we especially cherish the Alaska Cruise we took last summer. If you watch a videotape of the shipboard activities you will see Barbara, in the front row for everything. While the rest of us were stargazing, people watching, lounging, napping or eating Barbara participated in everything from the Sail Away under the Golden Gate Bridge to pouring the Champagne from a very tall ladder to fill the Captain's Champagne Fountain to the 5:00 AM Scenic Fjord Cruising from our combined balconies. Talk about energy, she put all of us to shame even though she was at least 20+ years older than everyone in the group.

We feel the pain of her passing right now but there is peace knowing she is reunited with her beloved Louie and they are enjoying their Hawaii. My only hope is we all can live as full a life as she did.

Aloha and thanks for the memories. You will be greatly missed.

Love,
The Dennis Beltrami Family
