After 30 years of devoted service as a tele-communicator for Pacific Bell, she retired in 1994. Carole traveled extensively in Europe, Mexico, South Africa and throughout the United States. Carole was predeceased by her father, Roy Roberts, and is survived by her beloved husband Charles (Chuck) Stumpf, Santa Rosa; her loving mother, Helen Roberts, Santa Rosa; brother Roy (Bud) Roberts, Jr. and friend, Bonnie McAllister, of Gig Harbor, Washington; and sister, Janis Roberts Laurain, of Santa Rosa. After working with Carole for 30 years, she always amazed me, she always stayed so unruffled, through all our away training classes we attended out of town. I do recall one experience that she was really in a delimma she called me at home late one evening, to tell me she had been invited to a special party, and she wanted me to make one of my walnut trees to take as a gift the next night as a gift for her hostess... How could I say no it was Carole asking me , even if it did take me 8-10 hours to make one..I would make sure she got it the next day.

Jim and I really wish we would have taken you up on your several invititations that we make arrangements for a weekend at your cabin.
.
I'll miss you Carole and all the fun we had through all the years.

I'll always love you and will never forget you..

My Prayers go out for Chuck and Caroles family
We all now have an angel watching over us..

My memories of Carole are of her taking her coffee break by sitting on the bench by the front door of 5900 State Farm Drive. She was always smiling, always uplifting and encouraging. She is one of my most pleasant memories of Pac Bell. I hope Chuck and her family find comfort in knowing that Carole was a person who was loved by all who knew her.
