Charlotte Richards Obituary
Charlotte A. McMillan Richards, 81, of Erie, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio on March 13, 1940, daughter of the late Stanley McMillan and Lucille Feigel Sederholm.
Char grew up in Emporium, PA before moving to Erie. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and loved caring for and giving to others, using her artistic talents to create baby blankets and church banners. Char retired from General Electric in 1995. Prior to that she was a mannequin artist. For ten years beginning 1976, she was a co-owner of the Heinrich Feigel Furniture Shop in Erie.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Allen C. Richards and his son, Aaron, and step-grandsons, Michael and Matthew, her sister, Susan A, Harman (Larry) of Santa Rosa, CA; niece, Lisa Oestreich (Christian) and their children, Connor and Lucy; nephew, Eric Harman (Tina) of and their children Leila, Madison, Emily, and Mason. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debora Susan Day; and by former husband, Robert W. Heinrich.
A Memorial Service was held in Erie. Memorial gifts may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 4703 West Ridge Rd., Erie, PA 16506 or to Erie City Mission, 1023 French Street, Erie, PA 16501.

Dear Al, I just realized Char´s passing today and wanted to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Char, with her compassion and dedication to others made her the caring person she was. Char was one of the most beautiful, gracious, giving, woman I ever knew. Her love of Koinonia, helped changed my life forever. Her smile was always present and always appreciated. God bless us all who ever served our Lord with her. We'll see you again.

On September 14, 1979, Charlotte tragically and unexpectedly lost her daughter and on that same day, my grandfather passed away. For that reason, every September thereafter, Charlotte and I arranged for flowers to be placed, in our conjoined memory, on the altar at Church of the Covenant. Of course, Charlotte made the arrangements!
She was a dear and energetic soul. I trust she has been blessed with the rapturous joy of reuniting with her daughter after 42 years of grievous loss.
