Daniel Lee Heller

1967 - 2021

Dan passed away Sunday, living his life to the fullest. He apparently had undiagnosed heart disease. He was riding his dirt bike in the 50th Annual Grand Prix in Virginia City, Nevada. He stopped at a checkpoint, said he wasn't feeling well, walked around for a minute and collapsed. All efforts were made to revive him, but it was over very quickly. Dan died a very happy man! He was loved by all that knew him, but especially by his wife of 30 years, Dawna.
Dan was a very talented musician and played in many punk metal bands throughout the years. He had recently decided to play music for the Lord. He was a faithful, and loving servant and will be deeply missed. Dan and Dawna loved serving together in children's ministry, WaumbaLand, the preschool environment at NVC. Dan was so good at teaching those young children that Jesus loved them and was their friend forever. All the kids loved him so much!
Dan was a journeyman drywall/lather. He was an extremely reliable, dedicated, and hard-working man. He was only a couple of months away from retirement, but that would not have stopped him from working, if he were still here. He loved his work and was proud to be a foreman running jobs for Hinds Brother's Company, of which he was a long time employee.
Services will be held at New Vintage Church, 3300 Sonoma Ave. Santa Rosa, CA at 11 AM on Friday, November 12th. If you knew Dan, please come celebrate his life with us. There will be a reception following the service at the church.
