Just learned of Dave's passing. So sad and too soon. A wonderful childhood friend leaves my childhood memories a bit hollow, now. With deepest sympathies.

Sally and Sandy, I wish I had known of his service, I sure would have been there to join in his memorial service. Sandy, I remember when you were born. You were truly one of your father's greatest blessings. Sally, you have been a faithful wife over the many years, especially during the season his health began to decline. We were always going to have lunch together, but I never heard a report after his last hospital stay.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. We met Dave at several banjo events around the country and always enjoyed his gift of music. A few years ago in Buffalo, NY we enjoyed a boat ride on the Erie Canal with him playing the banjo. We always looked forward to seeing Dave at the events. He will be missed.

Dave and I had a very special relationship both musically & personally. As a student he was top-notch and as a musical partner he was unbeatable. I am privileged to have been his buddy.
