Fred Peter Rodoni Jr. passed away April 19th in the arms of his beloved wife, Karen. He was 77 years old. Fred was born and raised in Pt. Reyes Station and chose to raise his own family there as well. A dedicated hunter, fisherman, forager, and gardener, Fred was deeply attuned to the seasons and tides of his hometown, always eager to share his bounty with family and friends. An impressive athlete, he was awarded a scholarship to play football at University of Hawaii and was inducted into the Marin Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. He also coached his children's baseball, soccer, and basketball teams for many years. Fred was an intelligent and intuitive businessman; he founded Coastal Marin Real Estate in 1981 and ran it successfully for decades before passing it down to his son, Ryan. Most of all, Fred was devoted to providing for his loved ones and treasuring the natural beauty of West Marin.
Beloved husband of Karen Rodoni, loving father of Erin Rodoni (Yatindra Pandya) and Ryan Rodoni (Jacelyn Oshiro-Rodoni). Cherished grandfather of Kavya and Leela Pandya, and Dylan and River Rodoni. Adored brother of Joyce Rodoni Clapp (Rich), Dennis Rodoni (Judy) and Alma Rodoni (Jonathan Aaronson). Fred is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Regina Rodoni, and his sister, Arlene Phillips.
All who knew and loved Fred are invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial Saturday May 17th at Noon at the Nicasio Druids Hall, 4499 Nicasio Valley Rd, Nicasio, CA 94946. The family prefers donations to be made to West Marin Little League, the West Marin Scholarship Fund, or CLAM.
