I've had the pleasure of calling Joe my friend for the last 8 years. He was the kind of friend who would knock on my door and say "Hey, I'm hungry, let's go get some food" or "Let's go to a movie". He was spontaneous, generous, caring and kind to everyone he met. I went to so many places in Sonoma County because of Joe. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an inspiration to me and many others. I will keep him in my heart forever. One of the last things I ever said to Joe as he dropped me off at my house, was "Joe, you're a good friend". I'm so glad I said that.

Joe was an amazing and irreplaceable friend- always generous with his time, interest, and connections. His passing leaves a gaping void in my life.
