Dear Patty,

You probably don’t remember me as I only came into your office a couple of times in the past. John and I started out together at Allstate in the Sears Catalog Store on Petaluma Blvd. in 1967. I had only been there a couple of months when they hired John and it was my job to train him. Gosh, I had only been in the business a few months myself, but train him I did. He was a natural at the sales business with his ready smile and innate charm and was soon off to a flying start!. We were pretty competitive and would both win a lot of awards which would get us to many functions together in San Francisco, etc. We had a great time. I later moved on into the apartment business while John continued with Allstate. We got together frequently and stayed in contact for many years. While we are saddened by his sudden passing, the smile of this gentle and fun loving man will live on in our memories. Please accept out deepest condolences for your loss.

Dearest Patty,
Louie and I were so saddened to hear of the passing of John. It just seems like yesterday that you retired and got to finally enjoy life together. He was a wonderful person who always took time out to answer any questions about insurance. You and he made a wonderful pair in the business. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss.
