LYDON, Kathy Ann May 29, 1961 - February 8, 2018 Kathy Ann Lydon (formerly Wakerling), 56, passed away at her home in Windsor on February 8, 2018. She bravely battled cancer for seven years and persistently kept a positive perspective on life. Kathy was born in Castro Valley, CA to the proud parents of Howard (deceased) and Nancy Wakerling. She was the youngest sibling to Michael Wakerling and Lori Tsujimoto. Kathy's legacy will live on through her two sons, Brian and Michael Lydon. She was an amazing aunt, and second mom to eight nieces, nephews and to countless friends of her boys. Kathy was the life of the party and loved to host all her friends and family, especially around the holidays. Thanksgiving was where she really showcased her culinary talents by hosting up to 100 people in her home where everyone was considered family, and participated in a great holiday feast. She took great enjoyment in baking, especially cookies for her "boys" year-round, but especially on Valentine's day. That was when a lucky few would receive a giant cookie in the shape of a heart - which did no justice to the actual size of her heart. Kathy loved to give to others and always helped those in need. She had many passions and hobbies in ife, but most important to her were raising her two wonderful sons. Kathy loved to be around family and friends, whether it was sitting next to them reading, throwing parties, or traveling the world. Kathy was a devout Catholic and made several pilgrimages to Holy sites around the world. She found joy in everything and her beautiful smile was her favorite accessory. Kathy was a world traveler and always had her bag packed and ready for when someone wanted to go on an adventure, no matter how near or far away it would be. She will always remain alive in our hearts, and her memory will never be forgotten in the community. The visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary in Windsor from 12pm to 7:30pm with a Rosary service to begin at 6:30pm. Kathy's Funeral Mass will be said at St. Rose Church in Santa Rosa on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
