Kevin Bley Obituary

Kevin Alexander Bley, 44, of Santa Rosa, California died unexpectedly at work on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Kevin had just passed his board exams for his license in Marriage and Family Counseling the day prior, and he was celebrating this accomplishment with his beloved colleagues at Kaiser Permanente.

Kevin was born in Santa Rosa, California, at Community Hospital on July 23, 1981. He is survived by his loving parents Donna and Wolf; sisters Julia, Karen, and Erika; step-mother Diane; brothers-in-law Frank, William, and Matthew. Kevin is also loved by his many nieces and nephews who adored him dearly, Johanna, Katie, Maddie, Kaitlin, Miles, Colin, and Dylan. Kevin is loved by his community and friends from all walks of his life. Kevin is a cherished friend of Bill W., where he found fellowship and love.

Kevin graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 2000. He completed his Associate Degree in Sociology at Santa Rosa Junior College and his Bachelor in Psychology from the University of California, Davis in 2017. He continued his studies at the University of San Francisco, where he completed his Master in Counseling Psychiatry in 2022. Kevin practiced at Kaiser Permanente in the Department of Psychiatry as a Marriage and Family Therapist with expertise in Addiction Medicine.

Kevin is a rare soul whose journey through life gave him the humility and grace to guide and support others with compassion and gentle understanding well beyond his years. Kevin had a beautiful presence and a gift for truly seeing others. His contagious smile and deep heartwarming laugh will live on in all of our memories. Kevin found strength and joy in music and was a talented acoustic and electric guitarist, who used music to communicate, spread love, and create community. He would often bring a guitar to gatherings and simply begin to play favorites and requests, bringing everyone together in song.

There are no words to express our loss. May we hold space to celebrate his beautiful gentle spirit. How grateful are we who have been given the gift of knowing him, and have been graced with sharing in the beauty and kindness of how Kevin walked in this world. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later date.

Yesterday

So sorry to hear the news of Kevin passing. I grew up right next door to him. We had run into each other over the years and always said hi to each other. He was always so sweet. Prayers and hugs to his family from all of us Pederson“s during this heartbreaking time. He passed away too young. ):

Yesterday

To Kevin's family, friends, and every connection in our community he had, my condolences go out. My heart is filled with sadness that we have lost such a precious, amazing, and creative soul. I will always remember doing great work with Kevin with our hardest population in the county, that struggles with severe and persistant mental health issues. His heart is so big, he was so accepting of others, and his humor made everyone positive and motivated in their life.
Many prayers and blessings to everyone who knew and loved Kevin. I truly know that he will always make his presence known to each and everyone of us if we're open to that. He surrounds us daily, reminding us to be kind to one another, and he will always watch over us.
Blessed be and so it is!
