Kirk Brandt Obituary
Kirk William Brandt, beloved son, step-son, brother, step-brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on October 29, 2022 at age 38. He was preceded in death by his father Kent William Brandt in 2000 and step-brother Dan Minto Jr. in 2020.
Kirk was born to Maureen Brandt Minto and Kent Brandt in 1983, welcomed as a cherished younger brother by his older siblings Jason, Mariah and Alexa Brandt. He was raised in Santa Rosa, CA and was a 2002 Cardinal Newman High School graduate, where he was known for his love of running and community service. In his junior year, he was awarded the Boy Scouts of America rank of Eagle Scout after leading a county-wide clothing drive to benefit homeless teens.
He later attended Western State College in Gunnison, CO and Santa Rosa Junior College. He developed a life-long interest in natural foods and health products from around the world. He loved working in the industry and enthusiastically shared his expertise with others.
Kirk's love for his family and friends, Irish heritage, and life adventures were evident to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed for his warm charisma, colorful stories, bright smile and joyous laughter. He had a kind and generous spirit, always trying to make life better for others. His final and lasting legacy was as an organ donor, enabling those in need to extend their lives. Learn more about becoming an organ donor to help save lives through Sierra Donor Services.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Wednesday, December 28th from 12-3pm at Resurrection Catholic Church (303 Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa, CA). Today, 10/23/2024, the loss of my good friend "Kava" Kirk Brandt, Jr. He is one of a kind man. yesterday, I found a letter that he sent me, had folded it up like a paper football. I thought i was time for me to connect with him. I made phone calls and wrote an email, and today thought that I would do a google search only to discover he had made an early transition. Kirk was a magical being who loved deeply and was well versed in the natural healing and arts. We were one of the most giving entrepreneur spirits. And, he loved Kava. He loved our family deeply, and we loved him. We wondered why we had not heard from him. I suspect he died from lovesickness. I am grateful that our path intertwined, and I got to meet.
