L. Irene JOHNS

1933 - 2018

JOHNS, L. Irene 85 of Drain, Oregon, passed away August 27, 2018. She was born January 31, 1933, in Central Point, Oregon to Dale and Anna (Elam) Carr. Irene worked for the Sonoma County Employees Credit Union for five years, Santa Rosa Auto Parts for ten years as an accountant and 14 years as a manager for Memorial Hospital Credit Union. She enjoyed RVing, reading, gardening, making beautiful handcrafted items, bowling and loved spending time with her family and grandkids. Family connections were very important to her. Irene was a member of the Santa Rosa Boat and RV Club since 1970, and Friends of the Mildred Whipple Library as Treasurer. Irene married Robert "Bob" D. Johns on January 29, 1955, in Oregon. She is survived by her son Larry and wife Valarie Johns, Drain, OR, sister Dolly Woolworth, VA, sister Janet Luchterhand, Klamath Falls, OR and two grandchildren.
