Lisa Plumley Obituary

PLUMLEY (ELLIOTT), Lisa Ann - Died April 15, 2008 in Vallejo, CA of stomach cancer. She was 45 years old. She is survived by her husband Rick, who lovingly cared for her and attended to her every need as she bravely battled the disease that took her from us. They were married for 16 years. Lisa leaves her adoring 14-year-old sons, Austin and Harland; her loving parent's Harland Elliott and Janet Murphy and their spouses, Carole and Jim; her dear sisters Marie and husband Tom O'Meara, Patty and husband Tom Hollowell; and her loving step-sister, Aqua and husband, Mike Baron. She was preceded in death by her Grandparent's Dora and Verle Swenston, and Sadie and Chester Elliott. Lisa leaves many dear friends, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and co-workers. Lisa was born in Petaluma, CA and grew up in Sonoma County. She attended Herbert Slater Junior High and Montgomery High School. She worked as a Waitress, Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Loan Officer. Her recent position was Bartender and Waitress at the Warehouse Café in Port Costa, CA. She was a bright and loving spirit that lit up a room when she walked into it. People often commented on her beautiful blue eyes and her brilliant smile. Family gatherings will be dull without her, the fun always started when Lisa arrived. She was caring and loving to her parents, her siblings and her friends. Shortly before her death she told her sons that the proudest thing she ever did was having them in her life. Her biggest regret was not being there as they graduated from school, married and had her grandchildren. They will miss her so much. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Warehouse Café , 5 Canyon Dr., Port Costa CA 94569 on May 17th at noon. The main course will be provided and people are asked to bring a side dish. Please check her Blog site at http://lplumleysangels.blogspot.com for further information. If desired, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to a fund set up for Rick and the boys, in care of Janet Murphy, 126 Redwing Dr. Santa Rosa, CA 95409-4121

Lisa was my sister in law.We did not always see eye to eye..But we had alot of great times together.I was happy that the last few months we spent together were good ones.A little gambling, a visit to our house up North etc. She was a great mom and loved my brother Rick, as he loved her...They had their problems but never stopped loving each other...We will all miss her.

Lisa was so many things. She was a woman of moods; sometimes up and sometimes down. She was the life of every party; the one who made us all laugh. She was honest and a hard worker. She loved her family, especially her sons Austin and Harland. At times she was the shoulder that I cried on.

Lisa my beautiful baby sister, I will always miss you. I will never forget you. Rest in peace. Please visit me in my dreams, or even in my waking hours. I will always carry you in my heart. I will love you forever. Marie Elliott O'Meara

Lisa was my cousin (our Moms are sisters), and although I didn't live in CA as a child, the bits of time I was able to spend with her in recent years were always full of warmth and fun because of her. She had a truly incredible smile, which she shared easily and often. It was obvious that she was a terrific Mom and that her boys loved her immensely. She will be lovingly missed, even by those of us who weren't fortunate enough to have her in our lives regularly.

Although we didn't see much of each other over the years, I always looked forward to seeing her at family gatherings. She had a great laugh and was usually so cheerful whenever I saw her. She's going to be greatly missed.

May the comfort of friends and family be your strength now and in the days ahead.
I met Lisa when she was 18, she was my friend from the start. And through the years when our paths would cross, we caught up on kids and events as if no time had passed between visits. I will miss her.

As I am Lisa's Mother, I have so many wonderful memories of her as a little girl and a woman. I miss her already and can't believe she had to leave us. She so wanted to live and be with her family. My heart aches for her and for her family.
