Lorene Lake Obituary

Lorene Mae Winter Lake
June 24, 1943 - January 11, 2024
Lorene had a say-it-like-it-is simplistic humor and contagious laughter that brightened her eyes. She was delightful, friendly and yet a strong woman determined not to bend. She loved family, friends, parties, food, gardening and traveling.
Lorene was born in Alameda, CA, to Delbert and Mary Winter; raised in Santa Rosa with Ed Winter, Ric Winter, Noreen O'Dell
She was preceded in death by Delbert, Ed, Noreen, Mary and ex-husband, Kenneth Walter Lake; survived by her children Sheleen Lake Craig (Brett, Bryden, Angelica) and Robert Lake (Jessica, Bode, Calvin).
After a gracious battle with liver cancer, she passed away with family present in Redmond, WA where she lived near her son. Lorene's final resting place is Santa Rosa Memorial Park in the cavity of a boulder, sealed with a plaque. We're grateful she settled for plan B, as her plan A was to bury her in a silver 911 Porsche with her green alligator Stilettos purchased in Beverly Hills in the late 1970s on her feet.
Lorene desired that no memorial take place. A lengthy honest life tribute has been posted on her Facebook page.

Lorene was an unique woman with many talents and a caring soul. One of a kind. A wonderful friend, mother and humanitarian. She leaves us too soon but rests in peace.
