Fernandes, Lourdes Bibiana, passed away on May 13, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. She was 84 years old. Born in Mumbai India Dec 02, 1939, to Antonio "John" Dias and Albertina Pereira. She married Moses J. Fernandes in 1966 then moved to Zimbabwe with him and had four children, Rosario, Sandra, David and Savio. The family immigrated to the United States in 1987, and settled in Santa Rosa, California. After her spouse passed away in 1993, Lourdes lived in California, Texas, and Vancouver, B.C., each time with one of her children. A homemaker, Lourdes enjoyed being active in the Catholic Church, family times, traveling, and social events.
Lourdes is preceded in death by her parents John and Albertina, a brother Bonnie Dias, a sister Olga Dias, and a brother Johnson Dias. She is survived by a sister Christine Fernandes, and her children Rosario (James), Sandy (Jenny), David (Tania) and grandchildren Grace and Kirsten, and Savio (Renee) and grandchildren Zakiah and Ava, as well as nephews and nieces. Visitation at Daniel Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home May 23 4:30-8:30p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Eugene's Cathedral, May 24 at 11a.m. followed by burial at Bennett Valley Cemetery. May her soul Rest In Peace.
