Marce educated me about Indian families, practices and traditions when I was a first grade teacher at Monroe School which her children attended. She advocated for all Indian children, and when I asked, she´d say she was an `Auntie´ to them, helping me to understand the community they shared. I know I became a better teacher because of her. Thank you Marce.

Marce leaves us all better for knowing her laughter, her unending strength advocating for children, her love of family and community, her continual sharing of knowledge of how we can all be better human beings.

Auntie Marce, words cannot express how much I love you or how much you and everything you did for me means to me, I know that we all must face the event of passing on at some point but its hard to believe your gone. I wish I would have been around more in these last few years, there isn't anything I would not have done to help. you were more than my auntie you were my mother figure my mentor my inspiration and my savior you loved me when I couldn't even love myself you helped me see where I messed up and you made me want to be better. you were always there to pick up the pieces for so many you were the glue that kept our family together you were the glue that kept me together. you loved like family should love you never turned me or anyone away with you we all always had a home. thank you for everything thank you for loving me for standing by me for fighting for me for taking me in for teaching me how to be a strong and loving person, I will miss you beyond expression because I love you beyond expression and I will forever hold you in my heart I LOVE YOU AUNTIE!

In Memorial of Auntie Marci, she always loved conversating with everyone, no matter how old you were, she was always smiling and laughing with us, she was a ray of sunshine at our family reunions. She will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her. I may have not seen her often, but everytime I got the chance to see her I loved talking to her. May Auntie Marci Rest In Peace.
