Marlene Rehe Obituary

Marlene Rehe
Marlene Rehe, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on September 17, 2021. Born in San Francisco, California, to James and Alma McKinnon, she was 89 at her passing.
Marlene started dating Jack, her knight in shining armor, while she was in high school after they met at his father's gas station in Daly City. After graduating from Jefferson High School in Daly City, she married that same knight on March 29, 1951. As a Navy wife during Jack's deployment in the Korean war, she worked for several businesses in San Diego and Vallejo. After moving to Santa Rosa in 1955 she worked for over 40 years at Sears Roebuck. With the arrival of Don and Denise, she was a fiercely dedicated and loving mother. After retirement, Marlene moved with Jack to their home in Tucson where she was known as a great friend, gracious hostess, wonderful cook, and dedicated wife. She had a quick wit and was known for her friendly teasing as she laid down a Canasta as an expert card player. To her children she was a supportive mother who loved them greatly. To Jack, she was his rock. With him by her side she traveled on many adventures and cared for him, in return, like no other.
Marlene is survived by her husband John Albert (Jack) Rehe, her son and his wife Don and Grace Rehe, daughter Denise Rehe, grandchildren Stephanie Lende and Samantha Mori, 12 great grandchildren, two nephews and three nieces.
A Celebration of Life was held at Marlene and Jack's home in Tucson, Arizona on October 24th.
Donations may be made in Marlene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Arizona ASPCA.
