With heavy hearts, we announce that Mary Frances Kerrigan passed away on October 17 at the age of 80. Mary was born in San Francisco on July 30, 1945, to John and Hazel Ameral. She was a San Franciscan through and through until moving to Petaluma in the mid-1970s, where she met her husband, Mike Kerrigan. Together, they built a home to raise their blended family in.

Mary was a talented seamstress and cook, an avid reader, and someone who truly enjoyed life. Her creativity knew no bounds and she could DIY anything her imagination could think up. She was well known in the window covering and flooring industry and highly respected even outside the geographic area that she worked. Mary was a loving mother and wife who made amazing meals for her family every day of the week. She put her all into everything she did, and those who knew her best would attest to that.

Mary is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, Melina, Nikki, Sean, Danielle, and Alissa; her grandchildren, Julianne, Carson, Kyan, and Hendrixx; and her sisters, Grace and Carol. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel, her brother Paul and her younger sister, Ann.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice By The Bay. The family has chosen to have a private service, but we invite friends to remember her in their own way.

Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. She was-and remains-deeply loved by her family and friends. Rest in peace our beloved Mary.
