Michael James YOUNG

May 5,1953-April 23,2014) Mike Young passed away peacefully on April 23, 2014 in his home in Clovis, CA. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda, and children Craig Young and Shannon Pittman, their spouses, Jeannee Young and James Pittman, and five grand-children, as well as his mother, Jimmie Weaver, and siblings Kim Tennant, Sheila Atcher, Terry Weaver, Steve Young and Cary Lane. He is preceded in death by his father Sidney Young, and stepfather H. B.Weaver. Since the age of approximately eleven, Mike grew up in Rohnert Park with five siblings and Jimmie and Harry Weaver. He graduated from Rancho Cotate High School in 197l. Following high school, he served in the Air Force and married his high school sweetheart Linda Kay Malloy in 1973. He ran a successful painting business in Bodega Bay, Sonoma County, and Fresno. Mike loved life, and those who knew him loved his humor and his smiles. He enjoyed Nascar, fishing, boating, water-skiing, camping, cooking on the grill, and restoring vintage cars. He often threw parties in his back yard and cooked wonderful dinners for his guests.
