Nancy Fitzpatrick Obituary

Nancy Fitzpatrick
Nancy May Fitzpatrick, age 93, of Santa Rosa, passed away on April 19, 2022. She was born on March 12, 1929. Nancy is being missed by her family and close friends who enjoyed her intelligence, wit, and warm interest in others. She had one son, Michael Peppitt (59), who passed away just five days after her death.
Nancy grew up on the East Coast and spent her summers in Youghiogheny Forest in West Virginia. She attended the University of Maryland and received her Masters degree from San Francisco State. She taught Physical Education and later Geography and counseling. Nancy developed a great love for travel having made numerous trips to Europe, Central America, Africa, and Australia, her favorite country where her father, Frank Reeves, discovered the world's second largest meteorite crater.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Dixieland Jazz Festival in Rohnert Park, the Children's Village, the Summer Repertory Theater, and UNICEF. She was the Coordinator for Volunteers at the Friends House for 19 years. In 1995, she was named the Sonoma County Volunteer Coordinator of the year, and in 2007 the Sonoma County Volunteer of the Year.
Many will miss Nancy who knew her as a dear friend, grand lady, and an energetic, fun, caring, bright light in their lives.
