Patty LaRue Flocchini passed away at home on October 23, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1948, in San Rafael, California, to Doska (Jackson) and Joseph Smith. When she was older, her parents moved their family to Petaluma, where she met her husband Andrew J Flocchini.
Patty is survived by her husband Andrew J Flocchini, her daughter, Elizabeth Curtis (George), and her son, Andy Flocchini II. She was preceded in death by her daughter Andrea Flocchini. A loving grandmother to Alyssa Luchese (Tommy), Katlyn Curtis, Jaidene James, and Jordan James (Shelby) and her two great grandchildren Maisie and Mabel. She was the last of five to survive her siblings, with her sister Jo Ann just passing this last September in Oklahoma.
Patty's joy in life was raising her family, of whom she was so very proud of. Her accomplishments included becoming the President of the Old Adobe PTC from 1973 – 1974, as well as helping the school to bring to life its own library for the children to enjoy. Later, she became a preschool teacher and loved teaching all children, including her grandchildren. She not only found this rewarding, but she also found great joy to be able to teach and share her knowledge with them. She also learned to play the guitar. Patty enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite pastimes was to get together with her favorite group, the "Girls Night Out," for some good times and a lot of laughter.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on November 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, California. Reception to follow in the church hall until 2:00 p.m.
