Priscilla Abercrombie Obituary
Priscilla graduated from Winthrop High School in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and from LaSalle College in Auburndale, Massachusetts, in 1955. She married John (Jack) Abercrombie on August 15, 1957, at Christ Church in Andover, Massachusetts. They were married 64 years before he passed away in August 2021.
After marrying Jack, she moved to many places as he worked his way up the career ladder, including Rochester, NY, Fairfield, CT, and Arcadia, CA. They moved to Santa Rosa, CA, when he retired from Xerox in 1991. They owned and operated a Minuteman Press Store in Santa Rosa for 12 years. They moved to Manteca, CA, in 2020 to be closer to their son.
Priscilla will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her passion for a variety of hobbies over the years, including knitting, calligraphy, and needlework, and her pride in her Boston roots. She found immense joy in her grandchildren and socializing with friends and family. While living at the Commons at Union Ranch, she enjoyed playing bells, arts and crafts classes, and bible study.
She is survived by daughters Janet (Gordon) Lowe, Morse Bluff, NE; Nancie (Chris) Block, New Hope, MN; son Stephen (Pam) Abercrombie, Tracy, CA, 7 grandchildren Cory (Dylan Cardiff of Fremont, NE; Holly (Cameron) Moen of Fremont, NE; Andrew (Brea) Burkstaller of Minneapolis, MN; Julia (Ann) Page of Minneapolis, MN; Kyle (Katelyn) Abercrombie of St. Mary's Georgia; Kayce (Joey) Ciolino of Manteca, California; and Carly Abercrombie of Manteca, CA; 5 great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Beverly, and husband, Jack.
A celebration of life service will be held on January 16, 2026, at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Kenwood, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Patrick's Church in her honor.
