Gosh I am just reading this in April, I was a student at Tam High in the 70's, When I had no faith in myself Mr. Newman showed me that I could do math I thought I could never do. If I wasn't as shy as I was back in the day I think I might of even gone farther in math and other academics but just the encouragement he gave to me at that time in my life I will never forget. Ironically I lived in Sonoma for years after I left Mill Valley......... To Mr. Newmans Family I am sorry for your loss but please know that as a former student He did leave a memory in me for life and I thank him for that and you his family as well.
