a nice memory today of a wonderful man with whom my husband, Bruce, worked and played tennis. He and his wife, both sweet friends of ours.

Still makes me smile and feel good to see Ron's smiling face. He has left his gifts on many of us. Thanks for this email, and BE WELL. pat cameron

I'm so sorry to hear about Professor Trouse's passing. He was easily one of my favorite professors (of any subject), but am grateful I had him as one of my English professors. Thirty years later, and I still think of the debates in his class where he would randomly assign students at the end of a class to take a certain viewpoint and debate a short story topic question during the next class. We rearranged the desks during the debates with two sections of the class facing each other and we would spend the entire class arguing points, with Professor Trouse reminding students to back up their points with evidence from the text. They were extremely valuable exercises that have stayed with me, as well as his Shakespeare readings (on occasion in full costume). He was great and I'll never forget him. What a wonderful and full life it seems he lived. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

What a lovely way to start today, thinking of Ron and Colleen. If Ron were Here, and if my husband Bruce were Here, I would love to talk about the magic and power of words with them, as I become more and more intrigued with language. pat

Sparkling eyes, radiant smile, and enthusiasm for life - I treasure these memories of Ron, as well as the stories of him on the tennis court with my husband, also a CSM English professor at CSM. pat cameron
