My uncle Garth was an awesome guy. He was very reserved and a man of few words. He was always very active working on household projects or taking his beloved dogs for daily walks around spring lake or other local parks. Sometimes going with my Aunt Jean on kayak adventures and always taking their dog with them on vacations. He was also a master at stacking fire wood. Garth and Jean would always keep their fireplace warm and welcoming during winter.
I will always remember going over there for pool party’s and birthdays where Garth was always running the BBQ and Aunt Jean was being the best hostess. He was a Master barbecue chef and the proof was in the meat, no matter what he cooked it was always perfect. The only times I remember where he wasn’t at the BBQ was when our family came to visit was on Christmas. I will miss his delicious BBQ.
I did find a way to get him to talk to me, I would bombard him with so many questions he had no choice than to answer them because he was never going ask me stop. That’s how kind he was. I got to know Garth when we would work together on many projects around his home. When we were working I would ask him about the bohemian grove in Monte Rio where a younger Garth worked during the summer. His father was actually a member there. I heard about all the richest people in the whole world meet there to plan next year and how they can use there money to influence the world to get themselves wealthier. Well that’s why I wanted know everything he remembered. All Garth would tell me was he saw some famous actors and Ronald Reagan. Garth was also the perfect person to work there or to tell a secret, because he would never be one to gossip. I knew I could trust him with anything. I will always have a special place in my heart for Garth who I will love forever and never forget.

My (H)uncle Garth was loved by those around him. He held a very special place in my life and in my heart since I was a little child when he and his wife, my Auntie Jeanne, would babysit me and take me places. A lifelong friendship ensued with countless John Wayne movies, Giants and 49er games. Uncle Garth was the king of the barbecue and roasts and always made us feel special whenever we were invited over making sure everything was just right.
He made time in my young life to take me special places just the two of us, and I will never forget his reaction when I called him and told him that I was expecting children of my own. Uncle Garth was not a man of many words, but of deep and steadfast feelings. He was fiercely loyal and devoted to his wife and family, hard working and kind. He was an animal lover and incredibly kind and loving to his dogs throughout his life. He could catch a fly in flight between his fingertips and he had a witty reply and a chuckle for all occasions. He will be deeply missed.
I wish that my children had more time to create the memories that I cherish with their gentle and kind Uncle Garth. He will not be forgotten and we are lucky to have known him.

My sincerest condolences to Garth's family. Garth was a standup guy, helpful, kind, and a great person. He will be sadly missed. I always enjoyed working with him, and when he did have something to say, he would always make me laugh. R.I.P. Garth. Prayers to all of your family.

Had the pleasure of working with Garth at Pace Supply.
Spent years working into the early morning hours with him. Working 11+ hours a night you become more than just coworkers you become friends and family.
He was the same person on and off the clock a genuine person.
You will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working With Garth for many years at Pace. He was a man of few words but his words carried weight, and we all respected this man like no other. We will miss his sly little smile and all of his sarcasm but most of all we will miss a friend

I may have met Garth once time but what I do know is that Jeanne loved him so very much and that Garth was her soulmate. I pray for you Jeanne in your time of grief and know that you are loved by many.
