Suzanne Barella Obituary
October 17, 1939 - April 12, 2024
Suzanne A. Barella of Penngrove, California, known as Suzie by her closest friends passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at 84 years of age. She was born October 17, 1939, in Petaluma, California, and grew up there graduating from Petaluma High School in 1957. In her youth, she was a Campfire Girl and in later years volunteered with The Ladies Axillary in Penngrove, CA. She loved children and for many years had a daycare service from her home. Her favorite tradition was attending the Penngrove 4th of July BBQ and parade.
Suzanne wed Donald Barella in 1959. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, daughter Lyanne, three sons, Dominic, Dennis, and Vince, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was a lifelong California native that loved her family, a beloved mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Memorial service held on May 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory; 850 Keokuk Street in Petaluma. Private interment.
