William Gonyo Obituary
December 31, 1951 - April 14, 2021
Husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend, Bill Gonyo passed away following a short battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Batavia, New York, to Robert and Marie Gonyo. He was the second oldest of seven children.
Following his graduation from Gates-Chili High School in Rochester, New York in 1970, Bill served four years in the Army's 82nd Airborne and was stationed in North Carolina and Turkey. When he returned home, he moved to California where he met many close friends and enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, playing music, working on cars, and riding his motorcycle. His affinity for cars led him to his career as a collision shop manager.
Bill met his wife Suzy in 1978 in San Francisco, CA. During their 36 years of marriage they had two children, Allyson and Kevin. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing his hobbies with them.
Bill is survived by his wife, Suzy, daughter Allyson, son Kevin, sister Carolyn, brothers Bob, Tim, Todd, and Steve, and many nieces and nephews. Bill's brother, Gordy, passed away just seven days after Bill.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 12th in Healdsburg, California. If you would like to join us in remembering Bill, please contact his family.

I was very saddened to see this news today. Bill was a very nice man. I never know what to say in times like these so I borrowed the following ..As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends...I am here for you if you need me. I am sending very positive healing thoughts and energy to you and yours. Much love Susan, Kevin and Allyson and to the rest of the family.
