Charles Marrs Obituary

MARRS, CHARLES A. Sept. 17, 1926 was the special day that Charles A. Marrs entered this world. Known to his family and friends as "Charlie or Bud", passed away on March 10, 2007. Born in San Diego, CA., graduated in 1951 from the Calif. Maritime Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering. He had many fascinating jobs throughout his career but most recently retired from the State of Calif. in 1996 as a Hospital Building Inspector. Charlie loved to travel but spending time in Rocky Point, Mexico with his sweetheart MaryLee, of 56 years, was his favorite. He enjoyed a good joke or humorous story, but keeping up with his quick wit kept us all on our toes. He was the best host, always making sure a guest in his house had their plate, drink and heart full! His discipline was love. He loved life and shared that gift with his children. He is an inspiration to his family and friends. What will be missed most will be his smile and laughter. He is survived by his wife, MaryLee; children, Paul Marrs (Donna), Gordon Marrs (Sandy), Sahuarita, AZ., Susan Onderdonk (Andy) and Julie Shappy (Lee), all of Hudson, new Hampshire, Charles Marrs (Kelly), Waterford, Connecticut, Michael Marrs (Yolanda), Menifee, California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Marrs, Garden Grove, CA. Service 03/15/07, 10am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
