Conway Scott "Arch" Archer

1936 - 2016

CONWAY SCOTT "ARCH" ARCHER Age 79, formerly of Corona, California, died April 8, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born May 17, 1936, in Roanoke, Virginia, to William L. and Jettie Pansey (Ingo) Archer. Conway retired from the United States Marine Corps after 22 years of service, where he served in Korea and spent two tours of duty in Vietnam. He later retired from the United States Postal Service after 19 years of service. Conway was a Paymaster in the Marine Corps League, Bedford Detachment, and was active with the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge #2045 in Corona, California, and was awarded the Elk of the Month in May, 1992. He was an active member for many years of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Corona, California. He served on the vestry as the Junior Warden and as the Senior Warden. He was a Diocesan Convention Delegate and lay minister. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, D'Ann Webb Archer. They were married in Riverside, California on September 10, 1988. He was previously married to Gail Spear Archer for 25 years. She died August 22, 1987. Other survivors include: his loving daughters, Connie Young (George), Evelyn Bravo (Jaime), Janet Nolasco (Matthew); stepson, Darrel Harner (Misty); stepdaughter, Kimberley Morales; and grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Allison Reann, Allison Margaret, Kyle, Bobby and Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 526 Magnolia Avenue, Corona, California, with the Very Reverend John Saville officiating. Inurnment will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to Marine Toys For Tots. Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
