Dear Daddy,
It has been nine miserable long months since you left us so suddenly. My heart aches for you every day. I miss you voice, your hugs and your laugh so much!!! Michael's third birthday is around the corner and I just wish more than anything that you could be there to celebrate with us. I still cry myself to sleep thinking about the day you left and the pain in my heart is unbearable. I miss you so much and I would give anything to have you here with us. Michael kisses your pictures all the time and asks for Grandpa. I wish you were here to see what a crazy guy he is and how much he's grown. I love and miss you so much Daddy!
Love,
Kelly

My father in law was an amazing person. In this time of greed he was content with what he had and in this time of broken families his prospered. Not only did he beat these odds, he did it with a smile on his face and always managed to make us laugh with him. He was unique in the fact that he never complained, he didn’t get angry, and he had a heart the size of the sky. With his rare persona and positive outlook on life, it’s not hard to see why God wanted to take him so early.

Dave-I’m going to miss our talks, our flights, and all of your advice. Thank you for being such a great Dad.

Dave, Dave, Dave. Father-in-law. Dad. Able to stare any burger in the eye and win. Grandpa to my little Buddah. I made the mistake of imitating Yogi Bear one day, saying "Hey Boo Boo, look at that pick-i-nick basket! Hey hey hey!" and so "Hey Boo Boo" became your call to Mikey. I watch Yogi with him to see if we'll hear that phrase and if he'll recognize it. So far, no luck. Maybe it's meant to remain as your line now. Man, you left us way too early and there was still so much left to do. Billings, MT and Gussick's. Ogden, UT and Maddox. You never even taught me how to fly. Which is probably good because I can't even coordinate the functions on a model car, let alone an airplane. Maybe you thought there'd be plenty of time. Maybe we all thought that. Enough, though, about my wants. We all miss you sorely and Kelly is in a bad way. Which kills me because I can't make it better. There's no way to make it better and take away the pain. But maybe we shouldn't try. You're most likely sitting on one of the Pearly Gates, throwing firecrackers and wondering why we're making such a fuss. I'll just remember you as I knew you, happily taking care of your girls, jumping up to run to the store when they discovered they were out of the one baking ingredient they really needed, or never stopping to think of why you shouldn't do something for someone if you thought it was the right thing to do. You "turned off the transmitter" for the final time the way everyone should be so lucky to do and as far as we can guess, you didn't even know it. You're in God's hands now so the flight will be smooth from now on. Just remember to tighten both wheel nuts all the way!

I knew Dave as a generous, fun loving and expert modeler that has left a lifetime impression in my heart. However, above all I knew him to be a loving husband, loving father and a great friend. He has left me with many fond memories and I always will cherish his friendship.

Good to know Dave Adams and Bonnie through the Circle City Flyers Club. Enjoying their friendship through the years. Dave was always such fun, and always loved talking about airplanes and his wife and family. I am sure he’s with the Lord flying those airplanes, never, never crashing. Because there it is always perfect. Anyway, so nice knowing you Dave. Bonnie, we are keeping up with our prayers for you, and the best of good health always. God bless to you and your family, Gladys, Ethan’s wife.

Dave Adams was one of Circle City Flyers (Model airplane club in Corona Ca.) most prolific builder and flyer of radio controlled model aircraft. It seemed every time he came out to the field he had a new airplane. Over his lifetime he must have built hundreds of different models, a number of which he either sold or gave to other club members. There are lots of them still flying. We always enjoyed his tales of flying off the snow in Alaska during the winter time. It seems it’s never summer in Alaska. No one will ever be able to take Dave’s place in the Circle City Flyers.

The follow notice is posted on the bill board at CCF Model Airport along with Dave's picture.:

Dave Adams, one of Circle City Flyers long time and beloved members passed away on July 5th, 2007.

Dave will surely be missed by his many friends and the members of the Circle City Flyers.

Dave was out flying on July 4th having a good old time flying and joking as usual with his buddies, and those at the field. No problems.

Dave went to bed as usual July 4th, and didn’t wake up the next morning. What a shock. Dave was only 59 years old.

Our condolences go to Dave’s wife Bonnie and family.

Services have been held.

It is a wonderful blessing to me knowing the Adams Family. Kirsten and I met 19 yrs ago and have been friends ever since. I remember her Dad always had something funny to say and he was always welcoming. I remember thinking, something must be wrong with this family they are too perfect! LOL! He has left a wonderful legacy and was an inspiration to many on what it means to be a man, husband and father. He was the father I wish I would have had and he touched my life and my family's life. Thanks Dad!

Bonnie,Kirsten,Kelly,Kari. I have six brothers, all are still with us. I know now what it would be like to mourn a brother's passing. Dave was like my 7th brother. In my office I have a picture of Dave and I. I look at it and can't believe that I'll never have the chance to see him again. He was one of the most giving people I'll ever have the pleasure of knowing and having as a FRIEND. Penchie Dave, I'll always remember all the good times we had together flying, and all the talks about new kits and new ARF's. He will be missed by Linda and I for the rest of our lives, and we'll never forget all of you. Dave, thanks for being such a good buddy, friend, flying pal, and all around good guy. We'll meet again. My brother is with the angels now, making them laugh with his stories and pranks. You were a handfull when you were a teen, but you met a really great girl (Bonnie) and she changed you into the wonderful man that you were. You were a terrific father to your girls and a great Grandpa! I am so sad that you never got to retire and spend more time with Bonnie and the girls, but I guess God had other ideas for you.
I miss you terribly and my heart is broken, but I will see you in the future and I will bring deviled eggs! I love and miss you Dave.

Daddy I miss you so much. Every day I wake up and expect to hear your voice or see you working on an airplane in the garage when I come around the corner. You've always been my buddy. I loved working with you on projects around the house or cooking dinner together. You taught me so much and for that I am so greatful. You were the best father and friend a daughter could ever ask for. You always genuinely cared about what we were interested in and valued our opinions. I loved that you were always accepting of our friends and treated everyone like family. That meant so much to so many people over the years. You'll never know how many lives you touched by how you loved and raised your family. I loved that you took the time when we were little kids to read comic books to us and create different voices for all the characters in the stories and always made us laugh right before bedtime. I know you're watching over us and will always guide us in life. Someday we'll all be together again. I will love and miss you always Daddy.

Dave was my big brother. As a kid he was more than that to me and I always looked up to him. The best thing he ever did was marry Bonnie and together they had three great kids, he was the kind of dad everyone should have.He left this world without pain and that is the one saving grace,I've cried for him and my own pain of losing my brother carries a weight I have never felt. He made his mark in this world and was loved,I still talk to him and know one day I will see him again as we all will.
Thank you for being there for me when I needed someone,I love you Dave.
Your little brother
George

Words cannot express what my father meant to me. He was one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. He was there for me at all times in my life. I have never felt like I couldn't turn to him. As a father, he was kind, considerate, and funny. He provided me with guidance without being brash, provided love without being overbearing, and provided me with inspiration while still allowing me to find my own way. There are no words to describe him other than one of the greatest people I will ever encounter. He made everyone around him laugh, love, and feel better about themselves. His sense of humor carried all of us through hard times, as well as his immense strength and love for his friends and family. I cannot be angry that God wanted him early on, because God could not have a better man by his side. He needs strong, loving, beautiful people to help him, and that is what he has in my father. My father has impacted me forever, not only because he is my dad, but because he is a beautiful person, inside and out. Now he is a beautiful angel, inside and out. I know that I will love and miss him for all the days of my life.

The tears are like waves each and every day. I miss you more than you could ever know. I miss your love, your voice, your hugs and your laugh. I miss the strength you gave our family. Your grandson asks for you everyday and I can only reply "Grandpa is in heaven". He reminds me of you in so many ways and you always knew how to make him laugh. Your time on this earth was short but I know you are watching over and protecting us every day. I will love and miss you always Dad.

Dave was one of the best men I've ever had the privilege of knowing. He was such a great dad--he was the kind of dad everyone wished they had. He always welcomed me with open arms, as though I were another one of his daughters. He was special beyond description and he will never be forgotten or loved any less than he is today.
