Eugene Kampff Obituary

KAMPFF, EUGENE ROLAND 09/02/1926 ~ 02/10/2007 was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Roland and Irene Kampff on September 2nd, 1926. In 1944, Eugene graduated in the top 10% from Washburn High School and went on to join the Navy at age 17. After serving for 2 years, he finished his military service and attended the University of Minnesota with a focus in Architecture. In 1949 Eugene married his sweetheart Maxine Moore, a Registered Nurse, and moved to California soon after to start his family and career. Eugene began his 25 year career with the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1955. In 1964, he began his own printing business, KamSed. Eugene retired from both the L.A.F.D. and his printing business in 1980. After 32 wonderful years of marriage, Maxine went to be with the Lord, and Eugene was blessed with love once again as he married Jean "Bonnie" Alarik in August, 1988. Eugene loved his family very much and it showed. He will always be remembered for his broad smile and warm hugs. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Jean, sister, Joyce, children, Dave, Steve, Rick, Kevin, & Kristi, stepchildren, Holly & Mark, along with 28 wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service and celebration of his life was held on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anaheim Hills at 10:30 am.
