Gene Page Obituary

In Loving Memory of GENE M. PAGE "Satchell" Gene was born in San Bernardino, California on January 5, 1929 and passed away in Hemet, California on February 16, 2014. He is survived by his 6 children Kevin, Karen, Kelley, Kristy, Kathleen, & Keith; 6 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janice Page. Gene graduated from Fremont High School and received offers from the Pittsburgh Pirates to play baseball for their Single A team. Gene declined these offers to marry the love of his life Janice, whom he raised 6 children with. Professionally, Gene worked for Goodyear tire for 32 years manufacturing tires. He was an extremely hard-worker and consistently worked overtime, often clocking 70-80 hours a week to provide for his family. He always had a love of sports, and enjoyed watching his children play high school sports at St. Pauls. Over the years Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacations to Lake Tahoe, and playing baseball. He was a true family man and will be greatly missed. Evans Brown Mortuary, 951-679-1114 www.evans-brownmortuary.com/obituaries
