GLENN STARNES Obituary

GLENN STARNES Glenn Starnes (82) passed away peacefully at his home Jan. 22, 2010, after a long battle from complications of a stroke. Glenn was a native of Riverside. He was married to his life long love, Ruth for 63 years whom he met in Louisiana after serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. Glenn was a carpenter and member of Local 944 for 50 years. He assisted with the contruction of numerous buildings throughout Riverside. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, and thoroughbred horse racing. He loved horses and enjoyed riding with the De Anza Trail Riders. Glenn is survived by his wife Ruth Starnes, Daughters Dara Metzker & husband Bill, and Susan Reynolds. Grandchildren Alisa DiCola & husband Chris, Tyler Reynolds & wife Jay. Great grandchild Aaron DiCola, Brother Henry Starnes & wife Cindy. Glenn, you will be forever in our hearts. Love, Your Family Graveside Service Friday Jan. 29, 2010, 1pm @ Olivewood Memorial Park.

Although I had not seen you since 1962, I have fond memories of the time you let me and Susie ride in the back of your pickup truck up to the San Bernardino Mtns for a picnic! That next year my family moved to the beach... that was my memory of you. God bless, Lea McKinney Beltramo
