JOHN ANTHONY DEETS Age 46, resident of Riverside, CA for 27 years, passed away on 03/22/2011. John was born August 15, 1964 in Denver, CO. He was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. He is survived by mother, Gloria Breyer (Joseph); sister, Anita Porter (Jeff) of Missouri; brother, Seth Kinchen; step-brothers, Joseph and Steven Breyer; two nephews, Zachary and Andrew Porter; one niece, Sarah Porter; numerous cousins and aunts; girlfriend, Lori Tanaka. He was preceded in death by his father, David H. Deets. Viewing Mon., March 28, 11am with service at 11:30am at Olive Branch Community Church, 7702 El Cerrito, Corona, CA. Wow! I just looked up John Deets online to see what ever happened with him. We were in art classes together at Notre Dame High School for 2 years. He was quite the jokester and we sat at the same table with a couple others and had a great time. Art was a stress relief for me and I looked forward to John and Steve Smith being very entertaining throughout our time together. May he rest in peace and may God comfort the family he left behind.

I just now saw that John has passed, some eleven years ago now. I was thinking about him, since he and I were boyfriend/girlfriend throughout 9th grade at St. Edwards Junior High in the years 1979/1980. When I searched for him online, I found this obituary. I'm so sad to see this news. We had a great time together that year, and the last thing he gave me was a stuffed buffalo from his family vacation to Colorado during the summer of 1980. We parted ways when he want to high school at Notre Dame in Riverside and I went to Corona High. I have fond memories of the time John and I spent together during 9th grade.

My name is Tom Miller. I was a electrician who beside John on many of jobs. John and I first meet in the year 2002 and from the start we had a good friendship. I will always remember when I saw him or would talk on the phone with him he would say "hey brother" seemed like it was he favorite saying. He was always in good spirits never seemed down, remember when we got layed of from jobs he was always wanting to go back to work. It was like he was going crazy sitting at home. He was a member of IBEW LOCAL 440 and was a great loss to the brothers.
I remember when he would call and one of my kids owuld answer the phone he would always joke around with them, they would say dad crazy John called.
John is and always will be a good friend of mine. HE may be gone but he sure is not forgotten.

Remember John while hanging out with Anita in their home. He was very nice and quite funny. To this day, I will always remember walking passed his room and seeing his wall painted Pink Floyd-The Wall, and thought that was quite a cool thing! My sincerest condolences to both Gloria and Anita.

I have so many special memories of John with my family, especially at our family gatherings. He had such a fun personality and oh how he loved watching sports! He also was a big part of my Grandchildren's lives while they were growing up. He will be remembered with love & respect by me and my family. My condolences to his mom, Gloria, and family. Gloria, I remember when you and my cousin David would bring John and Anita to visit my parents, Uncle Eden and Aunt June, when I was a college student. It seems impossible that the years can go by so quickly. I am thinking of you and Anita, especially, at this time of such incredible loss.
