My prayers go out to Mike's family. My friend Mike worked with me for ten years at UCB. We were like brothers and shared many experiences together that will always stay dear to my heart. My Indian Brother, as I always called him, will be greatly missed and loved by all the lives he touched. See you again some day my Indian Brother.

Knew Mike from my days at the big 'U'. Had many adventures with 'Chicano Mike' and was always taken by the impression he left on people. He had a kind heart and felt dearly for his children and his Indianness. The greatest mark a man can leave is the mark of knowledge and I learned a lot from Mike. I call him my brother and will always remember him as a humane, learned, knowledgeable, and person of wisdom. My prayers be with him on his journey, till next we meet.

My condolences to the family of Mike. I worked with Mike in the 80s while a member of the American Indian Counselors/Recruiters Association for the UC System. He was a funny guy.

I knew Mike way back when. He was a nice guy and fun to be with. I was glad to know he had time to have a family and that he was content in his work.

I'm sure that it was not a coincidence that I had been thinking about Mike a couple of weeks back. This time also coincided with the return of a Hummingbird to my home, whose absence I had lamented. Mike will forever bring a smile to my face when I remember our too few meetings. I am grateful for having had the good fortune of knowing him.

Mike,
I will always remember you in my heart with your wonderful sense of humor and your bright smile. May you rest in peace my dear friend.
