OLAV OLE KLEPP Age 94, passed away on Wednesday December 12, 2012. He was born in Stavanger, Norway on October 3, 1918. At the age of 5, his family immigrated to the U.S., Settled in Oregon, and became an American Citizen. Ole joined the Army Air Corps during World War II, destination 11th Bombing Squadron as Flight Chief, Engineer and Gunner in the China-Burma-India triangle. After his Discharge he settled in Hollywood, CA, In 1949 he married Delia Aurora Macias where they started their family journey raising four children. Ole spent most of his career in the aerospace industry. After relocating to the Antelope Valley in the mid 50's, he began his early years as a contributing member of the rocket test program at Edwards, AFB and later retired from Rockwell Corp in Palmdale after the prototype production of the Space Shuttle. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9223, Riverside, CA and the China Burma India Veterans Association, CBIVA. Ole is pre-deceased by his wife, Delia, his parents, Haakon and Helga, and his siblings, Knute, May and Frank. He is survived by his sisters, Magnhild Pursley, Concord, CA, Mystery Agnes Lincoln, Spokane WA and his children John, of Rancho Cucuamonga, CA Diane Flowers, of Todd Mission TX, Roberta Oxford of Shakopee, MN and Paul, of Trabuco Canyon, CA, grandchildren Erik, Justin, Colleen, Tommy, Nora, and Peter, and great-grand-children, Delia and Carter. The Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Riverside National Cemetery, Assembly Area #6 at 10:31AM. Preston Simons is Providing arrangements.
