Richard Anderson Obituary

RICHARD MASON ANDERSON June 16, 1933 - August 27, 2018 Age 85, of Pine Grove, CA, formerly of Riverside, CA, passed away peace- fully surrounded by his family on August 27, 2018. He was born in Escanaba, Michigan to Harold and Eleanore Mason Anderson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a retired MSgt in the USAF and a retired Riverside County Senior Probation Officer. He was extremely hard working and was active in the DAV, American Legion, VFW, SIRS and Kiwanis International. He built his own home in Pine Grove, CA. He is survived by his second wife, Melody (Elsman) Anderson; his children: Kim (Laura) Anderson, Barry (Karla) Anderson, Karenjo (John) Nelson, Shawn (Gina Tegland) Anderson; his stepsons: Chris (Shannon) Elsman and Mike Elsman. He is also survived by his nephew Tod O'Neill who he helped raise; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife June (White) Anderson; his parents; his beloved mother-in-law Sylvia White; his twin sister Valerie Durelle and sister Barbara O'Neill as well as his grandson, Jeff Elsman. Inurnment will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at 1:01 pm, Staging Area #5.
