Ronald Bryon Hicks

RONALD BRYON HICKS Passed into his heavenly life in Riverside on Wednesday, November 18th 2009. Mr. Hicks was born in Texas on April 20, 1931 and resided in California most of his 78 years of earthly life. He graduated from Bell High School and Pacific Coast Banking School, started his 42 year banking career at Union Bank in 1948 and was an officer in the founding team of Manufacturers Bank in 1962 until his retirement as Senior VP in 1990. He belonged to several civic charities with particular interest in children's welfare, such as the Los Angeles Optimist Youth Home & Family Services (323-443-3023) and the Exceptional Children's Foundation (310-204-3300). He was a doting family man and loyal friend, survived by his wife Gloria, son Dr. Ron B. Hicks II and wife Diana, daughters Celeste Hicks-Monteleone and husband Joseph, Marta Hicks-Morrison and husband Jeffery, 6 grandchildren, stepson Ken Wales, many cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends. He was also a consummate fisherman and... is "gone fishing".
