I could not beleive the news when De Shay emailed me.
Ros & De Shay lived in our house in Rockspring Lane for 2 years and we had really nice times together going for dinner & getting to know each other whenever we were in town.
We were so thrilled for her when she got a new house and looked foward to seeing her happy and flourishing in a new life. It seems so cruel that she is gone and De Shay has had such a wonderful mother and friend snatched away from her.
Michael and I wish you all the best for the future & really appreciate that you let us know the sad news

I miss you Roz. I miss hearing your laughter. I knew when you laughed it was real. I miss your no matter what time it was phone calls. I know at times I would tell you that just because you were up didn't mean everyone else was. Now how I miss those calls. I miss hearing about General and De'Shay. I could hear how proud you were of them in your voice and actions. I just miss you!!!

May God watch over General and De'Shay and give them the strength to continue on to their lifes path.

Luv ya.... Valerie

Rozzie...Rozzie...Rozzie,

I still think about you all the time. On some days my thoughts compel me to laugh and other days my thoughts compel me to cry. A few weeks ago, I went to the scene of your accident. I had to see...see for myself. I saw a few of the utility pole remnants left behind by SCE right near the scene. I picked up one of the pieces and put it in my pocket. That little piece of sheared wood is so sentimental to me...it is priceless. I miss you, I love you, and I thank you.

I light this candle for you my friend in hope for God to bring peace and comfort to General, De'Shay, your family and friends.

I choose not to think of your passing but more importantly that you lived! Your life gave us memories too great to forget.

Although it is hard, I find comfort in knowing you are in a better place and will cherish our time together.

While it is hard for us today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort all.

Rest....my Friend!

As the years progress so did our relationship. Classmates, coworkers, friends, supervisor, mentor.
On Thursday July 1st that was the last time I was able to speak with my friend. She was thrilled to have passed a department physical agility test, but I could tell that wasn't what made her eyes gleam and her smile so big. It was that Deshay was with her and had cheered her on. You could not miss the love filled pride in her eyes when she spoke about her children and family; it was as if she was wearing her heart on her sleeve. The level of compassion and loyalty she had for friends, well I can only be grateful for being one of the many. Her words of advice, expressions (Look, Shut up, You know what I am sayin), and views of the world and how it should be. I am going to miss listening to...but most of all hearing her laugh. My heart is heavy with sadness, eyes filled with tears; I miss my "Roz", my "Trip", my "Friend" now and always.

Dear Ros, I remember meeting you in Riverside and was so delighted when they promoted you to sergeant! You were a great leader and mentor. I believe most people will remember that you would not back down and were willing to fight the good fight, without regard to your personal loss. You have left behind so many who will always remember you as the fun, wonderful friend you always were!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Triplett-Brown family. I've known Roz since she was 11 years old. What I loved about her was that over the years she matured into a beautiful loving person. She received her education all while staying grounded. She never changed from being so down to earth. I could go years without seeing her or talking with her but when we did speak it was as if no time had passed. That’s the measure of a friend. She will be truly missed.
