My name is Melissa. I am 52 years old. Mrs. Valker was my first grade teacher at Liberty Elementary. I am a librarian at an elementary school. I bet she would like that! I loved her class. I can still see the classroom in my mind's eye. Our desks were arranged in a large rectangle with the center open. There was an aquarium in the center. I'm sure I can give the credit to Mrs. Valker for teaching me how to read. She was quite the blessing to me!

Julie, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You were so kind to me when my mother died. I hope you receive this message with the same kindness you showed me. You are truly a good person. I am better person because of you.
