Vera Bruyneel

1921 - 2011

VERA LOUISE BRUYNEEL Born December 27, 1921, in El Paso, Texas, moved to Riverside when she was 11 years old and died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 89, on April 1, 2011. Vera is survived by three children: Donna Kraemer, Bud and Shirley Childs, and John and Carol Bruyneel, all of Riverside. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John R. Bruyneel, and their son Jerry Bruyneel. John and Vera owned B & J Garage for 30 years before retiring in 1982, when their son John took over the family business. Vera was active in the community and involved in square dancing, bowling, and the Mother of Twins club. After retirement, they enjoyed camping, their grandchildren, and traveled extensively. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 3:00 pm at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary. Private burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
