Wanda Kreminski Obituary

WANDA KREMINSKI Wanda Kreminski passed away peacefully at home in Murrieta October 22. Known for her kindness, compassion, selflessness and positive spirit, she was born in the Russian Crimea April 25, 1925 to physicians Stanislav and Olga Ibianski. Her parents and sister Yadviga Belkin preceded her in death. Wanda attended university in Kharkov to be a physician, but World War II interrupted and her family fled Russia. Wanda resumed her studies in Munich Germany, then came to America in 1950, and settled in Chicago. Working at a hospital, she saved money to sponsor the emigration of her parents from Germany. She met Eugene in Chicago and married in 1955. She dedicated her life to family and children, always striving to provide a life better than the brutal hardship she and her family endured during and after WWII. She strongly believed in the power and importance of education - "the more you know, the more you want to know" she said - and devoted her life to making sure her children were blessed with compassion, love and opportunity for success. She was very kind hearted and generous; she sacrificed, scrimped and saved during her life, putting herself last. She loved and enjoyed all that was beautiful - a garden, a painting, nature or music - and was fond of Russian artists, writers, poets and composers. A hard working mother, her best friend was daughter Sherry. Wanda lived in the Chicago area including Hoffman Estates and Palatine, with a short stay in NJ. As her sons went to college, she, Eugene and Sherry settled in the St. Petersburg, FL area. After falling in love with San Diego, they relocated to La Jolla. They moved to Murrieta in 2002. Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Eugene; Jan and his wife Judy and children Matt and Andrew of Knoxville, TN; Ed and his wife Tina and children Max and Sam of Columbus, OH; Rick and his wife Anne and children Chris, Amelia and Ben of Pueblo, CO; and Sherry and son Chris of Escondido, CA. The family appreciates the support and care of Ramona VNA and Hospice making her last moments on this earth peaceful and comfortable, and thanks Queen McIntosh for kind support. Wanda will be greatly missed. May God watch over her in heaven and her family on earth. A memorial was held December 28 at St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta.
