Wilbur E Dill

DOB : April 24, 1912
Wilbur E Dill, 97, was promoted to Glory on June 30, 2009 after a brief illness. He was born in New Jersey on April 24, 1912, to Elmer and Daisy Mae Glostin Dill. Mr. Dill was a millright for E.I. Dupont, served in the Navy during WWII and owned a service station and auto repair where he built stock cars as a hobby. He was a member of Nascar ad the NHRA and was a avid race fan. In 1953 he relocated to Hollywood Beach, FL and 1970 moved to Plantation, FL before retiring to Suwannee County in 1980. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Edna C. Dill and was of Methodist Faith. He is survived by his daughter: Joan Dill, Suwannee County, dearest friends and extended family Elisha (Kyle) Roberts, Lake Butler, FL , Corey Aderholt and Rhonda & Buddy Aderholt of Branford, nephews, Robert (Georgann) Howardson, Lake Wales, FL and Brick, NJ, Barry (Joyce) Howardson,Morganville, NJ, Ralph (Carol) Howardson of Sayreville, NY; brother-in-law Edward (Lillian) Kierman, Yardley, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Friday July 3, 2009 at Daniel Memorial Chapel, Branford, Fl with Rev. A.F. Donovan pastor of Siloan United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
