AMANDA GIBSON Obituary
GIBSON, AMANDA SUE 25 - of Sandusky, OH tragically passed away on June 6, 2010 in Erie County, OH. She was born April 11, 1985 in Somers Point. Amanda moved to Sandusky, OH two years ago. She grew up in Absecon and was a graduate of Absegami High School in 2004. She worked as a certified home health Nurses Aide at Bayada Nursing Registry in Linwood and Ohio. She dearly enjoyed working with the elderly and also worked at Fred n Ethel's Lantern Light, and Galloway Animal Hospital. She was an avid cheerleader as well as an assistant coach. She enjoyed cheerleading competitions, gymnastics, dance, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowboarding, and NASCAR. She also had a love for animals, especially her two cats, Kittens and Sylvester. Amanda loved being with her family and friends. She was always happy and could make you smile with her unique laugh. She was a free spirited person and was looking forward to returning home. She will be missed by everyone who touched her life. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Arthur C. Gibson, Sr. Amanda is survived by her parents, Arthur C. Gibson Jr. (Penny) and Susan Gibson (Robert Conover); sisters, Lisa Toner (Andrew) and Tracy Gibson-Easterling (Robert Sr.); brother, James Gibson; two nephews and three nieces; grandparents, Delores Gibson, Conrad (Buss) and Edith Will along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Wimberg Funeral Home 400 Liverpool Avenue Egg Harbor City NJ from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at St. Nicholas Church 525 St. Louis Avenue Egg Harbor City at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home 400 Liverpool Avenue Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357. To the entire Gibson Family,
There are no words to tell you how sorry we are for your loss. We met Amanda when our nephew married her sister Tracy and we felt blessed to have such a wonderful family touch our lives. We did not get the chance to know her well but, each time we saw her she was smiling and so full of fun and life. I am sure she brought so much to the lives she touched and will live forever in many hearts. The Gibson family is one of the nicest families I have had the pleasure of meeting and may God be with you during the days that lie ahead. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My love and prayers goes out to the Gibson family, I grew up around the block from all of you and have always been close to you! Mandy was the sweetest most passionate girl I have known, always looked forward to coming back and coaching cheerleading with me one day! May God be with your family during these hard times.
