ANTHONY SCROCCA Obituary

SCROCCA, ANTHONY R. 59 - of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the AtlantiCare Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he has been a Cape May County resident for 38 years. Anthony was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Carpenter's Union. He owned and operated a fruit and produce business (Tony's Fruit and Nut Trucks) in the Wildwoods for over 20 years. Anthony's grea joy was his family, and his sons were his grea accomplishment. His wife was his friend and partner for 40 years. He loved his nieces and nephews. Anthony's relationship with his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law was a closeness that comes with a genuine love. He idolized his mother-in-law Rita. Anthony's enjoyments in life were good food, good friends, and good times. Anthony was intrigued by the simple things in life. He loved to fish, play his guitar, family holidays, birthdays... Everyone he touched has enough classic memories to write a book. He was a legend in most people's eyes. Anthony will be sadly missed by all who knew him - but will always be remembered in their hearts. He is survived by: his wife Lorinne (nee Desiderio) Scrocca; his son Jeremy (Alena) Scrocca; his son Anthony Scrocca; his brother Thomas; his sister Madeline; and his father Mario. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie in 2011. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels RC Church, Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210; where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:00 AM. Anthony was the son of my cousin, Mario and his wife, Marie. I only got the pleasure of knowing him at my brother Joe's funeral three months ago when we sat together at the luncheon in Cape May. He was a beautiful man! My sincere condolences to his wife and children; my cousin, Mario; his brother, Thomas and his Aunt Mary. May he join his beloved mother, Marie, and rest in the peace of Christ. Rose Milano
