ARTHUR W. ROBERTS Sr.

ROBERTS SR., ARTHUR W. 83 - of North Cape May, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in St Johns, Newfoundland, Canada and formerly of Lake Carmel, NY; he has been a Cape May area resident for 18 years. Arthur was employed by the New York/NewHaven/Harford Railroad Co. (later becoming Conrail) in Connecticut for 33 years. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Arthur was a 50 year member of the Tremont American Legion, Bronx, NY; volunteer fireman in Lake Carmel NY; and a member of the North Cape May Seniors Club. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan in 2005. Arthur is survived by his son Arthur W Roberts Jr and his wife Grace of Wilton, CT, his daughter Jennifer Roberts of Wilton, CT, and two grandchildren: Dominic and Rita. Also surviving are his sisters Ann and Elsie of St Johns, Newfoundland. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.
