Richard Maffey Obituary
Rick was predeceased by his beloved wife, June Maffey; his parents, George and Helen; and his sister, Yvonne. He is remembered by his brother, George Maffey of Port Henry, NY; his stepchildren, Stephanie Claus and Philip Ashe; and several grandchildren: Jacob Ashe, Tracy Ashe, Christina Benkoczy, Danielle Maurer, David Simonetta, and Christopher Claus. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and his cherished dog Tedi, who now resides in Virginia with Christopher.
Rick had a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship as a knowledgeable gun collector. He found joy in the outdoors-particularly spending time in the woods and skeet shooting in Fort Ann. Alongside his wife June, he shared a passion for antiques and spent many years buying and selling treasured items.
In accordance with Rick's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. He will be laid to rest with family in Port Henry, NY.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. At the center he was always so encouraging and sweet to many of the residents. He would come down to therapy dept daily, perform his routine and just shoot the breeze with us or some of the other folks. His presence in the bldg is surely missed. RIP Rick
