In Loving Memory of Cheryl Ann Matthews-With deep love and heavy hearts, we remember Cheryl Ann Matthews, a cherished partner, mother, grandmother, and friend, who brought light and laughter to all who knew her. Cheryl shared a beautiful life with her devoted partner, Jack Evans, and was the proud and loving mother of Charles Matthews and Christine Abbamondi, and caring mother-in-law to Robert Abbamondi. Her greatest joy was being "GiGi" to her beloved grandson, Noah Abbamondi, who filled her days with smiles and love. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, who passed down to her a strong spirit, compassion for others, and a boundless creative soul. Cheryl built a long and fulfilling career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where she was deeply respected and loved by her colleagues. Her dedication, kindness, and genuine care for those she worked with left an impression that will not be forgotten. Outside of work, Cheryl's true passions were her art and her cooking. She was a gifted painter who saw beauty in the smallest details, and her artwork reflected the warmth and color she brought into the world. In her kitchen, she poured love into every meal, creating dishes that became family favorites and moments that became treasured memories. Cheryl will be remembered for her loving heart, creative spirit, and the way she made everyone feel special and cared for. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 3, 2026 at the Harbor Pines Golf Club from 2-5 p.m., where invited family and friends will gather to honor Cheryl's remarkable life and the love she shared so freely.
