Constance Boylan Obituary

Boylan, Constance "Connie" Joy, - 78, of Stone Harbor, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on June 6, 2022 at age 78. She was born to Philip and Martha on December 7, 1943, in Rochester, NY, and was the eldest of three siblings. After graduating from Catholic high school where she took great joy in rebelling against the nuns, she attended the University of Rochester and moved to Boston. In Boston, she worked at Mass General hospital as a social worker and lived with her high-school friends Missy and Ginny, who remained as two of her best friends throughout her entire life. In Boston, she also met her future husband Charles, who remained persistent in his pursuit of her despite discovering she was not, in fact, a professional tennis player. Together, Charles and Connie moved to New Jersey and had one child, Todd. Later in life, she and Charles retired to Cabo San Lucas, where she developed deep and beautiful friendships with many members of Querencia. Connie was a sparkplug, never fearful of speaking her mind and always viewing life through a unique lens. She was extremely outgoing, boisterously funny and, at times, mischievous. She loved art, Italian food and continuously raiding the shelves at Home Goods. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her three grandchildren: Lily-Kate (8), Emma-Kate (5) and Brody (3); her only child Todd and his wife Sarah-Kate; her brother Fred; and her niece Cassandra. She also was a fighter and relentless advocate, steadfastly remaining by her late husband Charles's side while he battled cancer and also tirelessly searching for answers to combat her granddaughter Lily-Kate's epilepsy. In lieu of flowers, please make any charitable donations only to the charity founded in her granddaughter's name, Lily's Lighthouse (www.lilyslighthouse.org). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 11am at St. Brendan The Navigator Parish at St. Paul Church, 99th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Dear Todd and family, - I am so very sad (and shocked) to learn of your mother's passing. My condolences on your loss.
I did not hear about her passing in time to attend the memorial service. Connie was a wonderful friend and neighbor. I always loved to hear her perspective on things. She was a force to be reckoned with.
Our lives will not be the same without her.
Love, Liz Trantina
